Figuring It Out

Children I will guide you, in all the ways I know,

Except sometimes I get lost and don't know where to go.

But follow me, I'll lead the way and clear the path ahead;

Gosh, my sword is somewhat dull; I'll use my hands instead.

Go straight, then left, swim across that sea; we can't just go around;

Hold on! Wait! I've read it wrong- the map was upside down.

Let's just stop and jump for joy when I count to three,

Oops! I forgot to communicate clear and well when to jump with me.

The truth is I have no idea how to steer you best,

So let's hold on tight; and I'll learn from you, as we continue on this quest.
