School Lunches at Fueling Ferners

School lunches and snacks. I don’t have a picture for every single day- but I have a lot that I took throughout the school year. I realized it was something that I loved doing in the quiet of early mornings. My kind of art; an opportunity to be creative and purposeful by finding ways to fuel my children each day with colors, variety, and fun; proteins, fats, and carbs; veggies, fruits, nutrients, and fiber in hopes they’ll grow, learn, and thrive.

We all have our quirks. Mine tend to leave me sweaty, covered in chalk, and wearing Olympic lifting shoes in the carpool pick up line; finding ways to get in fiber and protein on the go; and taking pictures of my children’s food before the sun comes up each morning. I hope my children learn to embrace their quirks too. Life is more fun where the flowers grow.
