Our Love Story.
Because it's the eve of tomorrow...
Once there was boy and a girl. He had brown eyes and she had blue. They lived far away from each other and took different paths to each be what they wanted to be when they grew up. He was a straight "A-ed" Eagle Scout and she was a curly-haired tomboy. He became a computer whiz and she became a nutrition nut. One day, despite this being a great big world, they found each other. She thought he was kind, genuine, and handsome. He thought she was stubborn, silly, and ran through the woods, too much, for no good reason (in his opinion, at least). But they had fun together, held hands and fell in love. He taught her how to read a map (sort of) and she showed him that he loved running through the woods, too...mostly with her. And in this great big world, with so many people, they were so happy to find one another to love and to cook with; to play silly games, do crossword puzzles and to explore this great big world together. Ten years ago, tomorrow, the brown eyed boy and blue eyed girl vowed to love and to cherish each other for better or for worse, forever and ever. In these ten years, they have laughed and they have arm wrestled. They have made the little town of Annapolis their home sweet home. They learned how to fill a quiet house with warmth and noise. They added 2 sweet great danes and, through tears, kissed them both to heaven. They have been blessed with three adventurous babies who light up this great big world every single day. They have endured cold weather camping, poison ivy and mosquito bites, getting lost in foreign lands (she was reading the map), expedition races, and sleepless nights- with crying little ones (or because they were running through the woods, again). In their ten years of marriage, they have learned that love truly is patient and kind. That love does always protect, always trust, always hope and always persevere. Love makes running through the woods, too much, for no good reason make sense...as long as you are with your most favorite person in this great big world. 🙂
